This piece is based upon my travels to Newport, RI today!  Walking by the pier I suddenly found this interesting buoy.  I loved the shape, color, everything about it.  Anyways I think this NEW shape might start to jump into some of my next paintings...we shall see....

So I decided to take my paints outside and paint in my backyard.  The interesting variations in the sky against the rich green of the trees sparked some interest.

Walking back the other night from the holiday festivities, I started to notice the amazing light coming from windows and their reaction to the outside darkness.  I thinking I need to work this idea a little more but for now this is what I've got...more to come
